Now Hiring Teen Artist Apprentices!

Become an Artist Apprentice!

Hired to Create. Inspired to Succeed.

We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for our Fall 2024 ArtWorks program!

ArtWorks is a multi-disciplinary, arts-based job training program for teens, ages 14-18, residing in Erie County. For the Fall Session, a cohort of hired apprentices will engage in both arts activities and projects led by a Teaching Artist, with professional development days to learn workforce and college readiness skills. The Fall Session will consist of hands-on and collaborative work, guest speakers, and off site field trips to various Buffalo-based arts and cultural institutions or post-secondary institutions. It will culminate with a showcase wherein students create, exhibit and perform original works of art for friends and family.

Throughout the ArtWorks program, apprentices will not only be paid to create, but throughout the program students will:

  • Create art

  • Work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines

  • Discover hidden strengths

  • Learn job readiness skills

  • Participate in career exploration workshops

  • Participate in college readiness workshops
