Pioneer Life

Grades K-5

In this program, students will examine some diaries from the 1800s and compare and contrast their lives to the lives of the children who wrote the diaries. Students will get the opportunity to try out some of the daily chores that they would have had to do, as well as learn a typical one-room schoolhouse lesson. The program will conclude with an activity.

Corn: An A-mazing Plant

Grades 3-5

In this program students will learn and understand that corn is a versatile crop used for human consumption, livestock feed, and a wide range of industrial products – including bioplastics.

Grades Pre K-2

In this program students will examine the properties of wool, how wool is processed and why wool is so important.

Pollination and Beekeeping

Grades K-4

In this program students will be able to identify the parts of a honey bee. Understand the stages in the honey bee life cycle. And learn why honey bees are important to our planet.​
